There are other reasons why women would want a lighter hue...

It amuses me when people complain about women wearing long sleeves and using umbrellas to avoid the sun yet don't say a word about the multitudes of European women who lay out in the sun for hours upon hours only to end up with wrinkles.

From a make-up perspective, fair skin makes a better canvas.

You can gently rub a fresh lemon onto your skin. It's 100% natural so you don't have to worry about nasty chemicals, and the vitamin C will penetrate through.

Has anyone used Likas Papaya Soap Cleanser? Apparently, it contains some extracts from Papa and it's pretty popular in Asian. The plus side of it is that it's all natural. The only thing that scares me is that if I use it on my face, it might not even out everything and possibly just lighten certain areas. Idk, this sounds crazy, but I have this feeling that it might just lighten like say my cheeks but the not the rest you know. Lol

I've used the Likas Papaya soap before and noticed a difference.

I'm want to try and fade the freckles on my arms/shoulders more though - any body cream/lotion/serum recommendations?

Papaya is the best! I just bought earthscience papaya-glycolic gentle skin peel and I've never had such good results (:
Also, does anybody know a good inexpensive under eye treatment to keep my eyes looking young? I'm only 20 and I'm starting to notice crows feet and dark circles. Please help!

Definitely! I've been using it for months still and it still makes my skin feel soft and prevents breakouts!

I was wondering if anyone could recommend any homemade recipes for a lightening cream, I've tried lemon juice (burns like crazy), but I haven't really found anything else. I'm really just doing this to clear up some spots I have here and there on my face. My skin is very un-sensitive and can take pretty much anything. Thanks in advance!

^ Try aspirin scrub! Put 2-3 pills of aspirin and in a bowl or plate, add a few drops of water (Avene or La Roche-Posay thermal water in works great!), wait untill the pill can be crushed, crush it, put it on your face and exfoliate.
You can make a mask and keep it on a face for about 10 minutes. When it's dry just rinse off with water. I've heard that you can also add honey to the aspirin paste, but I didn't try it.

Thank you so much! I will definitely try this tonight. Does it matter what kind of aspirin I use? Coated/uncoated?

Oh, I forgot to mention that- the aspirin must be uncoated, it'll be easier to crush it. It helped me a bit with my post-acne scars.

Lately I've been obsessed with Skin brightening line from Boots Botanics. It just suits my skin type really well plus the day cream is not greasy at all and works well with my combination/oily skin

Didn't know there's a thread on this! I thought everyone is into tanning *giggles* :p I swear by Likas Papaya soap! It effectively removed my acne scars. It can be usually found at Asian stores
