I don't know if I can say this (sorry in advance) but don't do drugs. At all. You will ruin things in your life and regret it (basically you'll have to pull your self out of uneeded trouble and stress). (If you're depressed, get help for it before it leads to something else. Basically, fix the problem that could result in the use of substances.) Also, don't talk mean about people, you'll regret it later on. Focus more on school, you'll win in the end.

And listen to the advice of others, it all makes sense in your 20's =).

^ But also, if you tend to be shy like me, force yourself to do things once in a while - you usually end up glad that you did it.

Trade smoking for bottled water & a daily walk. (I'm working on that one.)
Wear sunscreen over SPF 35 for that extra bit of protection.
Stay away from unnecessary drugs.
Don't use mineral oil or cheap skincare products.
Don't use harsh exfoliants or alpha hydroxy products on your face!
Alcohol is not a good idea, especially hard liquor mixed with corn syrupy drinks.
Dance to keep your body fit.
And and and...eat your fruits and veggies.

Wait, quick question, if you shouldn't wax or pluck your eyebrows, what should you do? I'm confused.

I don't know to be truthful,I'll be honest and say I'm lucky that I don't need to pluck mine. They are naturally shaped and not too thick. But it's advice I've heard from my elders many times, also I think I read it in Elle this month, well,I definetly read it somewhere very recently. I also remember reading Margherita Missoni saying she has never plucked hers

Plucking is ok, just don't overdo it. I once or twice a year, I allow my eyebrows to grow in entirely and then redo them. After an extended time spent plucking, they will no longer grow back, and you might get stuck with a shape that's not as flattering as it might be.

That's definitely good advice though---pluck as little as possible.

My eyebrows are very thick and dark and I have pale skin so I need to do something with them or they just look unruly. I usually get them waxed. I guess it's bad for my skin, but my heritage didn't give me easily managed eyebrows...

I think dark eyebrows with pale skin is striking! I wish mine were darker! I don't think waxing is all that terrible for your skin, but it does discourage the brows from growing back after long periods of time. What is your ethnicity (if you don't mind me asking)?

I wouldn't mind discouraging some of the hairs from ever growing back...I've been waxing my eyebrows for a few years and I haven't seen any difference in hair growth, or lack thereof. I'm Russian and Italian. I don't mind you asking.

My advice is: don't follow advice too closely or else you'll be living someone else's life and not your own. It's OK to make mistakes and then own them. I'd worry about someone who listened to closely to the advice of older people.

But if I had to mention one thing, fighting sun damage is about more than sunscreens - applying a product that only lasts an hour or so on the skin, and at a lower SPF than it claims, because the tests always use a thicker application than people put on their face - you have to make more of an effort than buying a tube of stuff to stave off the wrinkles. That involves not sitting out in the sun, seriously covering up, and nourishing your skin properly from the inside out. It's a commitment, not a cosmetics purchase.
