I’m the same! Although I actually have a fair bit on my thighs, and I’m only 21. I’m not sure what cause them and I’m thinking of getting them zapped, but apparently it hurts a fair bit.
I also have them on and around my nose? My mum has them on her thighs, so I’m guessing they can be hereditary.
Earlier I was reading about a pulsed-dye laser used to treat broken capillaries and am considering it. Mine are not terribly noticeable, but enough to bother me. This website has answers: http://www.myheavenlyskin.com/servic...eam-faq.asp#q3
Has anyone here ever been treated for 'broken veins' on your legs?.. all women in my family's had to deal with them but they always made it sound like it was just part of destiny and I completely refuse to let them invade my legs!, it's still far from that but I've been watching this vein on the back of my knee that gets more and more obvious as years go by.. and I've been told that once you can actually see one, it means there's a lot more on the way (obviously).
I sometimes feel self-conscious that people might notice that little green-ish line in the back of my knee (ridiculous, I know) but I wouldn't want to get to the point where I actually have to stop wearing short dresses because it's too much - my mom's already there, she had gorgeous legs and is in her 40s and skirts are already out of the question for her, she feels really insecure about that. Is there also a good treatment that gets rid of them when they're already all over the surface?

Some preventative things to do are:
Wear compression stockings. This is obviously hard in the summer, but in the winter, wear at least knee high compressions stockings as your socks. You can get them on line or from a local medical store.
Pulsed dye laser and Nd:YAG help a ton for the small spider veins. Larger veins, typically sclerotherapy is used. It can sometimes take several sessions with the laser if the veins are bad (separated by about 6 weeks).
Has anyone had their varicose veins treated? I've had them behind my knees since high school, and like my mother, they continue to get worse.
This may be a stupid question, but is there a physician specialist who treats varicose vein, eg. cardiologists specializes in conditions related to the heart and blood vessels?
Does anyone get pop out veins (similar to veins that pop out in the hands and feet) on their legs , especially the fibula? I noticed today while standing and it's just weird because it's only one leg and only a small part of that vein that pop out.
I tried googling but didn't exactly get a concrete answer. Could it be lack of body fat?
