Agreed...One time I counted the calories in alcohol I consume every day and I was astounded--a couple of thousand calories...Then I counted the five or six cans of CocaCola I drink every day--over 700 calories...That is in addition to the rice, bread, pasta and other carbohydrates that make up the bottom of my pyramid. Next up is normal enough with fruits and vegetables. Fish, beef, chicken, ham, eggs, cheese, whole milk, ice cream, and chocolate are on top.
I dont eat red meat, drink alcohol or soda, consume dairy or sugar, smoke, or eat white foods. I eat oatmeal for breakfast, grapefruit, tons of greens, and tofu. And at least a liter, if not two liters of water a day.
Well I eat a lot of meat, dairy (cheese and Butter) carbs(pasta and bread) and drink water,
I almost do not eat vegetables or fruit(only strawberries and cherries)
I know this is an heart disease waiting to happen...but I can't help it. At least i do not smoke anymore and I've always been a teetotal, hope it compensates in the long run...

I would say mine consists of alcohol on all levels. Being a student does horrid things to you. Im back on carbs and no longer a vegeterian for a start.
Tea/ dark chocolate/ cooking oils
Nuts and seeds
Seasonal fruit – guava/ bananas
Red meat – lamb/ mutton/ pork
White meat - Chicken and Fish
Vegetables

Bottom: Rice, corn but no wheat * chicken, fish, eggs * FRUIT (especially citrus i.e. grapefruit)

Hmm... I have lots of vegetables and tubers, lentils, chickpeas, gluten-free bread and pasta, raw cashews, tea, and soy nuts, so that would be the bottom of my pyramid. In the middle would be eggs, cheese, rice, and beans; sugar (colas, honey ) and fruit are at the top.

winter's here and i can't resist breads and rice and things
but they're no good for me, i get cramps hoping to increase more nuts and seafood in my diet and letting go of the milk+coffee.. At least, before sweets ie pastries were nearing the base of my list a starbucks almost everyday..
