i received samples and both and own Mediterannee, and i can say they are 'good' -- but not anything fantastic.

Mediterranee focuses more on fig. its very green (as in grass) and sweet, but the fig isn't predominent like Marc Jacobs for men. very fresh and clean. it sparkles. the drydown is lightly woody and not overly masculine, making it truly unisex. it doesn't project very far and seems more like a 'skin scent' on me, not unlike Stella.

Nil is Mediterranee with the fig replaced by mango, sparkling mango. the initial drydown is to die for. the other notes are detactable and nicely balance the mango. however the final drydown was all mango. it was nice but at the same time a little nauseating. plus, if i wanted to be a little more economical i could've gone out and bought mango essential oil and got the same effect. it had a syntheticness to it also, they reminded me a bit of OFF bug repellant.

both have this one note that smells sort of herbal and bitter that i also detect in Eau de Merveilles (maybe a Hermes house note). i'm thinking it might be the alcohol they use etc.

very good scents overall, but not my holy grail. i wish they could retain that inital sparkle they have when first applied. anyway, Mediterannee will be my warm weather scent until i finish the bottle.

Nil can be found in higher end dept stores and Sephora. Mediterranee is a little harder to find (i believe at one point it was a limited run, but they brought it back bc Hermes is going to continue adding to the Jardin collection, but for now it seems like they're pushing Nil more bc its newer). only place i found Mediterrannee for retail was in Neiman Marcus. i got my bottle from www.scentiments.com and it fine and half the price.
