Zeno - Acne clearing device
www.myzeno.com
This a a new inovation in pimple technology which applies direct heat to a pimple in the begining of the life of the zip- It is $225 for the device and requires refil purchases to be made every 90 "zaps" for $35. Its a very pricy program- but the good thing is that the website offers a refund if your not satisfied. ive found cheaper ones on ebay but that way if you don't like it your out of your money. On the makeup-alley discussion boards its been getting fairly high reviews and raves... i was wondering if anyone here has any experience with this device. I have combonation skin and suffer from the occasional HUGE pimple on my face which can just ruin everything, so thinking this could be the solution. ??? Any comments would be appreciative- thank you! -Brittany

First off, be very cautious when buying anything off ebay, especially personal care products. There are many 'solutions' out there, you just have to find the one that is right for your skin. Price does not dictate the quality of the product. You may want to get some advice from a dermatologist on what type of skin you have, your age, if you are prone to this or that, etc. Do some research first, then pick a product you think may help you.

IMO it's too expensive for the occassional pimple. (if you don't have $$ to spare). I'd rather just have my pills and creams from the derm and attempt to steadily keep clear skin.

Plus, you have to buy replacement tips, etc. IF i had the money, I'd try it though!

i hope it comes down in price- its probably just marked up tons right now because there isnt any competition for this type of product yet and its such a new technology/concept for at home treatments. lets pray it comes down!

I had LHE laser therapy http://www.radiancy.com/int/acne.htm
I had 10 sessions over a year ago on mild acne on my face.
I now have the odd pimple and my skin is much clearer (about 80%).
I do have mild scarring which is now under treatment.
It is painful and each session cost $100 Australian and it took atleast 8 months for my skin to recover from the severe treatments.
I dont believe any treatment can 'cure' acne but these laser/light treatments can prevent major breakouts.

Thats different than Zeno. This you have at home and use it when you see a pimple starting.

It is based on the same principle - heat is used to kill the bacteria.
I think Zeno could be a good thing but im sure it will affect different skin textures/pigments in different ways.

I dont think its the same amount of heat- this is not for a permanent solution.

I'm a "beauty advisor" at walgreens -- of which anyone can be, it just means I get the keys to our lock-ups, like zeno. And $225? That seems ridiculously high, considering we sell it for $150. And yes, i've tried it. I was so excited when the demo came in (which, btw, if you want to try it out before you buy it, just go to your nearest walgreens-- they have to let you try it!). I was very pleased-- it definetly reduces the pimple on the spot, in just a few minutes, leaving the area just a tad red. I don't know if it's worth it- only because of the zeno refills one would have to buy, but I would say it works well-- it definetly reduces the size of pimples drastically, but it doesn't ELIMINATE them. Though it didn't (the pimple) come back the next day or anything.. so I was pleased. I actually make it a habit to stop in to work to zeno my pimples before I have something, idk like an event or night out-- i fully abuse the privilage !

basically, go to a store, try it out, and then decide if its worth the money. hope i helped
