Boots for the calvalicious?

What labels do you think are more friendly to ladies with thicker calves? I have a pair of Franco Sarto black vinyl knee high boots that I love but the stitching has begun to rip

I love them because they had a lot of stretch but I think they have seen better days.

Type Z on zappos.com has some cute styles that seem very calf-accommodating.

u can always take them to a professional who ll fix them for u by maybe adding an elastic band on the inside if the boots are too tight

Well it depends. If the boots are very tight or just about on, they can be stretched. Otherwise, it's not likely to work. I would also suggest looking at J. Crew. They have an extended calf boot section on their website and they give the calf measurements

boots with laces will always work if it's your style...

For equestrian type boots, look for styles that have the zipper in the back instead of in the side - those don't make ones calves look as deformed once you've squashed them in there.

As long as you can force them on with some effort (but not brake the zipper) leather boots will stretch to fit you if you wear them long enough.

target also has boots that tend to be cut a bit more generously in the calf...

the downside is that they aren't leather...
the upside is that they'll fit, won't cost much and you can often find some cute styles to wear for at least a season
