i felt the same way at first, but the straight back-set stiletto is a louboutin trademark... and it makes the shoe seem even higher than it is!

I saw these in black patent with the pointy toe at the Louboutin boutique in Paris on the Rue Jean-Jacques Rousseau. I didn't buy them because pointy toes really turn me off now , but they were around 450-460 euro. I didn't catch the style name either but the heel is so divine! I want them in the roundtoe version-possibly white- for sure. I'm on the waiting list.

I really, really hope that neimanmarcus.com is going to sell them, even though I doubt they will.

I don't know if you mean visually, but a set-back heel sure does make it FEEL higher! (Had a pair of Via Spigas that about killed me that way once! )

I absolutely need them! Right Now PLEAAAZZZEEE ;-) It is such a shame that it is so hard to find Louboutins in Amsterdam. I prefer them in the baby blue patent ! They would go perfect with any of my 50s style chiffon dresses

oh, by the way... some set-back heels at Proenza Schouler...

They look really comfortable. More comfy that most of my shoes. Eh? The Louboutins are okay, but I don't think I would purchase them. They aren't "me", for lack of a more cliched cliche.

^ I thought the same thing, but I have these Miu Miu that have the same style of heel.. I think that is how it's supposed to look. A little strange, no? Mine are only 2.25" heels, but I think it makes them a bit comfier.... more like you are walking flat on your feet, less like you're on toothpicks...

Right, it's how it's supposed to look. Difference is that undershot vs. setback heels make a huge change in how you walk: undershot lets you have a sort of bouncy, cheerful, boppy kind of walk, setback forces a more stately gait!
