I finally bought the grey Dries shoes with crystal heels that I've been dreaming about for a looong time from Brownsfashion.com but the size 38 is too tight and they're sold out on both 38.5 and 39
I really love it but I just wouldn't be able to wear it, and for some reason the right shoe is even tighter than the left.
Can anyone here pleeaase help me . . . . is there any other site where i can purchase it or is it possible to order it from one of the dries boutiques??
My mum will be in London mid-november but i'm just afraid that by the time she's there, they'd have sold out too.
I can't really tell from the picture if the shoe is leather inside and out (the fancy surface texture is making me unsure..)... if it is leather.. have you considered having the shoe stretched at a shoe-repair shop ? that might give you an added 0,5 in size.
Another thing..might the left shoe have been displayed in the store..and the many try-ons made it looser? It seems strange that one should be bigger than the other.
Can anyone tell me about the quality of Dries shoes? Does anyone have this particular pair that can tell me if they are comfy or not? They are $85- is it worth that? any opinions would help me make up my mind- i wanted a shoe i can walk in a lot, but the seller said that this probably would be best for short distances only.
Dries shoes are excellent quality, but if you walk a lot you will require more arch support and a more cushioned sole than those extremely flat shoes will provide.
thought i might revive this thread...how do the Dries Van Noten shoes fit? Are they comfortable? I'm considering purchasing the gold pumps from last season online. It seems DVN is a tad more expensive than the other shoes I have - MJ, Costume National, Miu Miu...just wondering if they'd be worth it. And I'm not able to try on any because I haven't seen any stores selling DVN shoes here in Melbourne.
maybe I can help. as a given I generally wear a 36.5 barefoot sandal and 37 in shoes or boots. since Dries tends to run smaller in winter than summer I went up to a 37.5 this winter.
Dries summer shoes for this season are running more true to size than winter did. for the black wedge sneaker I bought a size 37 and they are perfect barefoot or with a thin sock, so they run true, maybe a stitch roomy. the pointed sneaker with the heel I heard runs very small and you need to size up a whole size for those (but I didn't try them on so can't say for sure). the strappy platforms are true to size so I bought a 37. for the slingbacks I bought a 36 since I like my heel to hit just at the end of the sole.
