This season was a bit dissapointing for the shoes from the HC Collections. Lack of ideas and creativity at most houses summed it up.

At Anne Valerie Hash, one idea was taken and was given variety by adding spakle and changing color. The idea would be perfect for those looking for a little deconstructive yet tailored look. For those wanting minimal glamour then Chanel is for you. The sassy slip ons and the trendy thigh-high boots were in shiny silver and golds. At Ralph Rucci Chado, shoes were classy and refined. perfect for Upper East Side Gals.

A lot of houses also stuck to one idea and changing it. At Valentino, classic pumps were given all-out glam by adding crystals and abstract prints. At Givenchy, A semi braided stilleto was changed by changing the fabric from lizard to felt. Christian Lacroix also changed a platform with see-through slide by changning th color of the sole. At Versace, it was changed by adding flowers. Jean Paul Gaultier changed his one long heeled pump by adding everything from fine Parisian lace to Rockin' Croc.

But, Galliano's shoes for Dior were the standouts. By having multi-referential ideas and adding the right amout of everything Galliano's shoes were ultra-fabulous. Like a Pink Mary-Jane shoe was merged with Croc Boota and the round- toe ballerina shoe were done in ribbons and were added with acid colors.

Designers should value accesories, and footwear, because it completes the whole look and shoes how far can they push their visions. Till next season.

Oooh thank you! Versace and Valentino shoes are very pretty as usual. Anne Valerie Hash's shoes don't really seem to fit properly but maybe that's me...

Round toe shoes are in!! Just when I was getting used to points

Yes it's true they wren't very experimental - still, they were very nice to look at. But then again everyone's been playing safe now - oh well, like you said, next season!

Thanks for the pics and the summary
