why make a difference?

Because men's shoes are designed for the male foot shape.

Thats called sheer courage in the face of overwhelming odds! Or maybe it was a bet or dare?

feet come in all shapes and sizes, there's no standard male and female foot.

Does anyone really have any concern about guys wearing heels?

Can't see what all the fuss is about. If a guy has the nerve to give it a go then who are we to criticise what they want to wear.

It is a shame that society stereotypes what shoes people should wear.

i would give heel a go, but being over 6 foot it would attract too much attention.

BTW anyone in Perth with large feet prepared to let me try

Yes, but there's a general difference between the two.

We are criticizing because we were asked our opinions. You have yours; you don't see any problem with it. And that's great. But there's nothing wrong with others, myself included, thinking it's generally very strange. Just a matter of taste.

I think the variations within each group is bigger than the difference between the average of each group, therefore I do not agree.

If anyone's still interested in this thread, I thought I'd post these. From Rick Owens Spring 05.

the problem is not the heels...but they way they look with the rest of the outfit...or with the size and shape of the person wearing them...

many women don't look good in certain heels...
any person with a large frame on a spindly heel simply looks out of proportion...
it's a matter of balance...

it rarely works well...and i think a perfect example of it not working is that rick owens show that terry posted...

and i don't applaud someone just for being different if i still think they look bad....or possibly even worse...

i applaud anyone who puts things together in a harmonious way...whatever that may be...i fyou can do it well...good for you ...but if you can't...then i'd say give it a pass...we can't all wear everything that we think is beautiful...no one can...some things are best admired at a distance...

I must admit I don't really like the outfits much, but thought I'd post the pics anyway. Maybe it the pants were longer.
