Hollywould for Target

*I'm not sure which category to put it in until June 20th, so I'll leave it here for now?*

Just got news from a *lil birdie* that Holly Dunlap, Creative Director of Hollywould has been tapped by Target to release a limited-time-only accessories collection. I suppose it will be shoes b/c thatís what sheís known for but who knows and this release takes over Devi Kroell for Target when it departs. The Hollywould collection will run from October 21, 2007 to January 19, 2008, there will be a preview on June 20th for selected editors. Are you excited about this?

My concern is quality. I just avoid many of Target's shoes, if this is going to be a shoe collection, because I find they are foot-killers.

perfect fit. Hollywould shoes are cheap looking, just like targets.

excerpt from an interview on stylelist.com

Now those of us (most of us!) who have found her designs out of their price range are in luck: Dunlap's partnership with Target was just announced this week, with a line of party-friendly shoes and bags making their way into their stores nationwide for three months, starting in October.

Dunlap is thrilled about the collaboration. "The shoes turned out AMAZING," she raves. "They're all very Hollywould: very girly with sparkles and bows--all of our trademarks." It doesn't hurt that those details are perfect for holiday parties and New Year's Eve, which is what many of us are shopping for at the end of the year, and that all the shoes are under thirty bucks a pair.

"It's very exciting," she continues. "I was really surprised by their production team, how they're able to interpret ideas and how quickly they can move on ideas. I think at Target the value for the price is what makes it amazing."

And if you are counting the days until the Hollywould for Target line hits stores in October, you're not alone:
"My whole family is so excited," Dunlap says. "All my sisters and everybody i know can't wait to buy Hollywould shoes for 24 dollars!"

When I hear "Holly Would", I think of Kim Bassinger's character in "Cool World", not sure if that was ever trademarked or copyrighted though.

I've never found Target shoes 'cheap looking'.

^me neither seanutbutter, target shoes (along w/ the jewelry and clothes) tend to look a lot better than their similarly priced competition. in my experience

^^ I'm not a fan of Hollywould... but I don't mind Target. Their clothes are okay.
