i like those silver pumps...

also, if i wore flats i like helenas sandals...alot (with a huge dries full skirt)

but, i think that alot of these shoes need to bew chosen carefully with an outfit so they dont look "frumpy" sometimes its the same deal with some prada shoes

pradaromance...i couldn't agree more with everything you just said...

marni can be quite tricky...i think a lot of designers can be these days...

i think it used to be esasier for people without much style to get by cause they'd just copy a runway look head to toe...but now it's harder because you're expected to mix different designers and mass market and vintage, etc...you can see pretty quickly who 'gets it' and who doesn't...

i also really like the canvas and suede flats that morgan posted...and the canvas/suede booties mettchen posted...but i'm not sure how i'd wear them...

Marni or Stella?

Marni or Pucci?

Most of thoses shoes look like everyone else just combined. The YSL heel, LV cutouts, platform and toe shape on the yellow pumps. I do like those yellow flats though.

...diorling..
very very similar...true...
but i think the stella is just cheap looking...
and the pucci colours are way to garish ...
plus why is there a pair of earrings clipped on them......

i think one of the biggest things about marni that sets it apart is consuelo's unusual use of colour...it's very artistic and unexpected...
that's what makes that first pair of shoes so special for me really...plush the richness of the silk taffeta ribbon with the raw edges...so luxe and casual at the same time...mmm....

it's like that design mantra
'god is in the details'...

Marni Shoes
I thought I'd start a separate thread for these instead of lumping them into the ballet flat category... if I was wrong to do so, feel free to merge!

Just noticed these flats on Marni's website, and I want to order the coffee patent but they only have 37.5 and I'm usually a 38... is anyone familiar with the sizing on these or on Marni shoes in general?

Based solely on the pics, I think I'm going to love them 1000x more than my Lanvins, even though they're pretty similar. The ivory is gorgeous, but I'm a bit too practical to delve into white shoes :p

Those are actually bigger in size...
Tried them on, I am a "true" FR size 39 and 38 feels a bit tight. Sad enough they didn't order 38.5

i love marni shoes, as well as the bags, and the clothes, and the necklaces... well, everything!!!!
i've never tried it on this style, but i feel kinda worried to order shoes online without trying it first, like today, i just found a michael kors sandals, and i fit in size 5,5 where i tried on other style, a wedges, still michael kors, but i fits in size 6,5.
maybe you could send your toe to back measurement in inches and asked the SA to find teh right size on this style.

I saw the patent flats in Marni and actually did a double take because they were SO similar to the Lanvins. In person they look identical. My friend who was with me was wearing the black patent Lanvins and the SAs thought they were the burgundy Marnis under the lighting in the store. The wooden sole is less obvious when they are on/sitting in the store.

I love that colour, it almost looks like burgundy to me, or is it more a true brown?

I have been eyeing these Marni flats for a while at a local store..they finally went on sale but no more sizes..
does anyone know if Marni shoes in general run big or small? I'm typically a 6 1/2 or a 7..wondering if a 7 1/2 will be way too big?
Thanks!
