I like the way they look but I would never wear them because of the real fur. Rabbits bred for fur are factory farmed in shocking conditions.
They are NOT a by-product of the meat industry. Please also avoid those pom pom fur scarves that you see - they are Chinese - the rabbits bred in China are kept in the worst conditions of all.
yeah, I think they are waaaaaayyy uber-hyped. I don't understand them, who wants to wear a fur cuff around your ankle? Legs and ankles are supposed to be slim and curvy, with Mukluks on, you just added like 20 lbs to your lower leg. Who needs or wants that?
just because mukluks are on kate moss' or paris hilton's feet doesn't mean that the hairy footwear is cool and a must-have.
like fresh milk those mukluks will have a rapid expiry date. for me personally: dispensable.
I've recently had to design copies and also some watered down versions for the UK high street (read: very very cheap).
To be honest, the real ones I've seen aren't worth the money - the suede is really bad quality and they look thrown together.
I wouldn't bother buying them - the first copies will be in store after christmas. Save your money.
they use rabbit fur too, which is bad. poor bunnies.
i was in harrods when they first came in. i didn't consider it. they seem to fashion victim-sish for me.Like putting them on is actually decreasing yourself in the style stakes instead of the other way round like you've intended.I saw a girl wearing mustard coloured ones today. she didn't pull it off.
I like the DB et M cotton tunic in the vogue pics above. has it got Ossie Clarke buttons?

I have yet to see one person who could pull them off, including Paris Hilton and Kate. I think Kate can ALMOST pull them off, but only because she is Kate Moss, but every person I see on the street with them looks like a total joke.

I agree. I saw a girl walking down the street today with a copied version of them (minus the poms poms) in bright pink
I dont think Mukluks look good on anyone..and I hate to see it become trendy just because Kate Moss has them
