Otk Or Thigh-high Boots

Does anyone own any OTK or thigh-high boots? I really wanted to invest in a nice pair last year but did not. This Fall/Winter I definitely want to buy some high boots! Any opinions, suggestions. and pictures would be appreciated. Thanks!

I'm very careful with over the knee and thigh high boots, they could easily look tacky/trashy

The only time I've ever liked over the knee boots was the ones Gucci did for fall 2003. The were just barely above the knee and they were paired with knee length skirts so it was prevented from going to sleezy territory.

I love thigh-high boots but am always afraid of looking like a hooker. What do you guys wear them with?

I'd say wear them with a skirt that doesn't go much higher then the knee, for me anyway, that's what'll keep them looking sophisticated rather then trashy.

I have a friend in Texas who bought a pair of low (well 3") heeled OTK boots last year from Victoria's Secret, she wears these to work often with a longish skirt, says most people probably just take them for knee boots.

I think just like most things, thigh boots can look classy if worn with the right things, but as for them looking like hooker boots...........?

What is it about thigh boots that make people think that?

Well, I had a picture in my mind of wearing them with a mini. Because if you wear them with a longer skirt, no one will see their length. But with a mini, that can look a little trashy, I think.

I suggest Knee-high bots as a maximum, not to look like "you know what"...

That is what I was hoping to avoid. I definitely do not want the "hooker" look. But I have seen so many models and celebrities wearing OTK or thigh-high boots, that I wanted a pair myself. I hope the look would be elegant but stylishly sexy. And Plumour, your boots are gorgeous! When you wear them, do you receive any compliments? Any additional attention?
