i am glad she has a little bit more business sense this time around partnering with the CEO of Blahnik, rather than getting involved in a business run like a ponzi scheme (ie. steve and barry's).
i am not a fan of either Charles Jourdan and Maud Frizon (hideous court shoes come to mind) hopefully these will be better.
she has said in interviews that she doesnt like to wear very high heels anymore. i think if her company can create a lot of mid level heels that will be a sweet spot that the industry needs.
Large Avatars for Everyone!
flaunt the imperfection..
i have nothing gainst sjp as an actress...
though that stupid show did result in a lot of disillusioned (and oddly dressed) young 20-somethings trying to 'make it' in the big city...
but she didn't write the show- she was playing a part...
but i don't know why anyone thinks she can design anything...?!
first there was the halston fiaso and then that cheapo brand no one's ever heard of- benny?, barry?, harry?...who cares?!
and this is what she looks like when there isn't a stylist around...
come one people...use some sense!!!
if she does just copy some old charles jourdan and maud frizon, that wouldn't be so bad...but those are european styled shoes and i am not so sure that american women (who seem to prefer hooker heels these days) are really going to understand or appreciate that design aesthetic...
as for the shoes being made in europe, well, that's where all shoes are made unless they are made of plastic...
