I think I will keep them to wear under jeans, thats definaltey the easiest way to wear them.

I used to have a pair of big platform wedge ankle boots, a little higher than yasmins but lower than urds. I was a little punk-ish when I was 11/12

no 1 diva- nay, but particularly because i have a thing about trendy looking cowboy boots...

guessgirl- I like these! Especially w cuffed jeans

urd- eek! I can only suggest to tell your boyfriend you dont really like them, or get a gift receipt!

angela - the front part and toe kind of remind me of a little mole but otherwise they are pretty cute!

I second what Yasmin said ... if your boyfriend is really into those boots, they'd be a gift for him, not you, since you don't like them. IMO you are entitled to another gift

If that means there's no $$ left for the boots ... darn

PS angela, nay to the boots ... don't care for the shape, and you can see they'll wrinkle with wear ...

urd: the brown boots are cute! he must be having a temporary fashion-blind moment on the black ones. tell him they look like a tractor wheel and you dont want them!!

Urd I'm thinking Pinky has a point there....nothing about your taste or his previous taste would lead one to suspect that those platforms are an appropriate gift for you...maybe it's a red herring

A big juicy NAY. Lets hope he is trying to 'throw you off'...I doubt someone who bought you those really nice boots (the beige ones) could possibly think these black ones are a good idea. You could possibly wear them with a paper bag on your head with cut out eye-holes so no-one would recognise you
