I KNOW lol. I'm no newbie here. What I meant by that quote is, sometimes we get hooked on a particular "look" and everything we choose seems to run in the same vein (shoes, clothes, people!!...). So it's hard to be objective.
I think in addition to looking cheapish, they might not be comfortable. Why not find something that's hot, fierce and you can actually USE?

Sorry, been a rough week too so I'm surprised I can string sentences together.
