I quite like Timberlands. I just bought a new pair some weeks ago. They're comfortable and look is OK too. The Rag & Bone and Timberland collaboration one year ago or so was pretty cool (I never got the chance to buy the R&B ones though as they were only available for a very short period of time)

Something I find quite funny is that you can get a pair of Timberlands in US super cheaply for like $100 while you pay $250 for one pair in Central Europe.

i love my timberland! i don't get the "tackiness", maybe cause it's not so popular here in holland. or it might become trendy this year? hopefully not!
i think it looks best with tailored clothes, though. too sporty look will ruin the appeal, in my opinion.
i see timberland as something classic. it adds the right amount of roughness that i need to otherwise a too polished look. plus its super comfy, and the best winter boots i can think of for the cold weather. it's perfect for walking in the snow!
i see this combo a lot in italy. and i think italians manage to do this sporty shoes + classic tailored clothes look so well.

here is me in my timberland.
