tom ford's shoe designs
im a big fan if tom fords work with acessories and espically with his shoe designs. ...i find them really diffrent from the rest of the desaigners work....im gonna be a great shoe designer myself . and my judjement says his designs are better than manolos and choos (sorry .. ..didn't mean to hurt anyone)....this thread is all about tom ford's shoe designs.please share your opinioin and post pics of his designs...and of those you own and also those on celebs....

I'm pretty sure tom ford didn't design the shoes when he was at Gucci or YSL. The current designer at Gucci whose name currently slips my mind, was head of accessories under Tom Ford though that might not have included shoes.

well he clearly stated that "whatever comes down the runway" are his designs............

besides the sunway shoes are marked as "by tom ford" during online shoppings....if not on the boxes

I'm sure he had input, but he had a whole team of designers working under him. He certainly would not design the clothing, shoes and bags (and he definately did not design the bags) for two different houses, twice a year.

meg ...that is so true....
ford was CREATIVE director...
which meant he would oversee (and TAKE CREDIT for) a whole team of designers...
some of whom were promoted once he left..
ie- stefano pilati at YSL...

this is common knowledge and very basic info kakaposh...

^That's what all creative directors at big houses do, it's a common practice. Marc Jacobs, Donatella Versace, Miuccia Prada....the list goes on and on.
