Meg-Ann,

Yes I have a picture. The bride wants us in gold. It was sooo hard to find gold heels that didn't look like they were painted.

But I did find some in a custom shoe shop in LA. Here's a picture I took to show my girlfriend who's geeting married.

She bought a pair too - of course!

I think that my tendon has shortened just from 4 an 5 inch heels over the last few years. Anyone else have this too?

This is all so frightening and sad...
I can only wonder why you would want to do this to yourselves. Have we not progressed at all since foot binding!

if you can feel a difference in your tendons, it's definitely not a great sign.

To keep your tendon healthy and in one piece, you should change shoes at least 3 times a day, to 3 different heel heights.. maybe wear your heels to work, sneakers home, and barefoot when you get home ... barefoot counts as a heel height..

it's not good to "train" your feet just so your shoes are comfortable, you're damaging your body.

I only say this, because my good friend has a badly damaged achilles tendon.. she has problems walking to this day.. and can no longer wear any heel at all.

I have worn heels now for about 20 years and don't plan on giving them up any time soon! Who else wears some type of heel on a regular basis?

Technically no. you're not breaking bones..

But why would you train your feet? and wear them to sleep??

if they're that severe and uncomfortable to walk around in, they're obviously a little too unnatural to be wearing at all. you've already said you noticed that your tendon has shortened... it wont be long until that sucker snaps...

Sorry Purple.. I'm just filling you all in on what I've learned through my foot and leg anatomy class...

It's all in my book, i'mnot making crap up.

And yes, my friend is around 35 now... She wore heels 5" and over almost every day... one day she went to the gym, changed out of her heels, put on sneakers, bent down to pick up something (this whole scenario caused her tendon to go from VERY extended ---> to almost not extended at all ----> and then back to EXTREMELY extended.. when she bent down)... she heard a pop... and the rest was just extreme pain...

the poor thing.

May I ask why you are doing this? Does it make you feel attractive?

It's probably good for me actually. After seeing what can happen to you...
