I love them... wedges like that starting to appear everywhere round here... not like platforms, like with height at the front of the toe is tacky... those Marc Jacob ones are hot, i want!

I used to think platforms should have disappeared with the Spice Girls, but lately I've been looking for a black patent pair, inspired by Vivienne Westwood.

I still think they have the ability to be quirky or trashy though, depending on what they are worn with.

Those ones are cute!

But I hated those really tacky ones that the Spice Girls wore, with the huge part on the front of the shoe also.

ThankGod, those aren't coming back!

Those are okay, but like princess_tee said, when they are 2" heigh at the front I find them rather hideous.

Well.....
I have to say I like the look of platform & some wedge heel boots better, not much of a shoe person myself.

But hey, who am I to tell others what to wear. If ya like 'em, then wear 'em

Marc Jacobs has been bringing back platforms for a couple of years now, and a lot of others are joining in. I agree they're fine with a high wedge or heel, but the low wedge/high platform look is not my idea of fun!

mullet, i agree, the black and white ones are.... missing something?

i think that for a platform to look good the heel has to be very high...otherwise i dont like the porportions

thanks for the thread urd

shall we change the title into wedges/platforms?
just thought it might be more appropriate since the styles posted are more wedy than platform-y

love the black and white MJ ones
