what shoe to wear with this dress?

i looked and couldn't find a thread like this... so hopefully it's ok/in the right place!

i just bought the dress below (pic from girlshop.com) but am at a complete loss as to what type of shoe to wear with it. any ideas would be much appreciated! i'd like to keep it under $500 if possible, but if there's something that would be FABULOUS i'll go up to $800.

you should go with a nude/pink satin shoe something like this, but maybe more strappy (this is the best I could find so far color-wise, but you need to go more strappy:

I would go for flats. Heels would somehow look too 'done' with the dress. A nice pair of nude satin flats would be cool.

I would go with black patent pumps or sandals. The dress has alot of detail so the black patent would keep the style yet tone down the colors.

I would wear heels. Personally, when dressing up I think heels are a must

...if you don't want to wear nude or black you could try to match the brown, velvet ribbons...perhaps a pair of brown pumps?

champagne colored strappy sandals or ones with some sort of studding or sparkle detail would look lovely. Keep it more in on the simple side though to keep everyone's focus on that cute lil number!

I reckon gold heels of some sort would be lovely and finish it all off with a pair of statement gold-accented beaded earrings

on the subject of flats, i'm thinking about these from chloe (pic from bergdorf):

I think those shoes are too 'heavy'. They will draw attention to your feet instead of you as a whole. I think flats are fine while dressing up but something quite light and airy is needed for that dress.
