Do you think it will be major in Fall 07?
Well 10 words, hmmm. I would say: Mod, British, Mysterious, Spontaneous, Ummm I can't really think of anything else for that.
Pieces I would say: Slouchy boots, tapestry bags, long skinny scarves, somewhat skinny jeans, baker boy hats, Knit dresses, maybe skirts with pockets, Big Sunglasses. I would say it's maybe Twiggy meets Audrey Hepburn. Maybe somewhere along those lines.

I really hope that we don't see it becoming abig thing because I love it and i don't want to see it everywhere.

I hope I answered your question bluelove.

i would add Nico and, obviously these days, a bit of Edie. It's more New York Chelsea then London Chelsea to me.

I personally get the London Chelsea vibe. But there is some New York Chelsea in there too, but mostly London. Wow I am being redundant! Hehe.

The pictures and style are all wonderful, but where do you guys get them? Do you make the clothes yourself or do you go somewhere in particular to buy them?

I usually shop at thrift stores, they have some awesome things if you don't mind looking a little bit.

correction

I was look at past photos and I think chelsea is not confined to wearing skinny jeans and prison tops , I think its that late 60s early 70s street chic of london . Anna Sui captured it best , with smart mini dresses and loafers with long hair ...........that so ****** sexy !!!! Its like the type of girl you would turn you head to see . Chelsea girls are combo of boho, street , old english girl. I think emilio pucci ( matthew willamson ) and anna sui captured that joi de vive the best, It would be nice to see this look of theirs become more popular sans the whole prison top and skinny jeans and ballet shoes combo . Their take on the chelsea girl is hot.

I agree with you. I don't think that Chelsea girl is at all the skinny jeans with striped prison top. That is the stereotypical Chelsea girl.
I agree about Anna Sui being very much the style we are talking about. In my earlier posts with pictures I put alot of her pictures up. I think that Chelsea girl is more of a feeling than a style. It's how you wear your clothes, and what type of person you portray. Chelsea girl to me has this feeling of mysterious, spontaneous, sensualness. And it isn't just how the clothes look, like I said, it's how you wear them.

Yeah I so agree, the word is mysterious yet warm , its not a blatantly sexual or over the top hippie, its like a girl who can hold down a job , can party but also reads literature , its an attitude which comes through in the clothes and I dont think its confined to wearing select pieces. She is a girl of the city but with a lot of soul.

You totaly captured what I was trying to put into words VeronicaUSA!
That is exactely how I feel. Good job!

I think a Chelsea girl can also just throw anything on and if she feels comfortable and confident wearing it then she can pull off the outfit like it was a designer ensemble.

Even when the 'chelsea girl' style is out of fashion I'll still be wearing things like striped tees. I don't really care whether it's in or out of fashion; I've always been a big warhol fan.

I dont think

the chelsea girl will never go out , she just reincarnates are herself in different ways. yeah its cool , that you like andy warhol but when it becomes over the top mainstream , its loses its specialness away. anyways I agree who gives **** about whats in fashion, where what you feel like !!!

I think that if you definately have the Chelsea Girl style perfected then you will never have to change your look. You can choose to change you, but if you have it right you won't need to.
