The Chelsea Girl Look

I really love this style, but I never quite noticed this look when I was in Chelsea Maybe this look is more from the Nico era ? Maybe someone can correct me but I only see Sloane Rangers or save lilacs/flower prints when I'm there

I love it! I also love that red D&G coat w/ white buttons posted a few pages back. I've never really followed this look, but I'll definitely be incorporating a few ideas from this thread from now on! Girls in my school try to do this look by wearing a striped t-shirt, denim mini, black tights (or footless tights) with birkenstock clogs. It's disgusting..they're not doing this look justice, they're just confusing styles!

Unfortunately a lot of people end up looking like that when they try to copy this look. They just go with what their ideas of this look are not what they really are, which isn't always a bad thing, but in this case it is.

i agree, now ive got into stripes im sticking with them, i wasnt sure about them until recently and i now love them. What i like about stripes is that there is so many types (even though the emphasis at the moment is on 'prison stripes'): skinny stripes, wide stripes, vertical/horizontal, colour variations etc etc
