i love this look and dont care if girls try to copy the trend cause most of them dont get it right and no one would look at them and say chelsea girl cause they usually end up getting it twisted and looking very 80s new wave

i like the look cause its edgy and modern but not severe, simple, comfy, and romantic

and i think its a good way to look mod but not too psychedelic or futuristic

^ Wow you explained it very well right there, that is quite how I feel. Now I only wish I had the money and resources to pull this look off.
It's a shame this thread isn't more popular, but I guess it's just a well kept secret. It makes it more unique.

I love this style.. It's very proper. I think it is more for winter though. Summer.. you need something more relaxed and airy... Like light boho or grecian/roman style. I don't know..

^ I agree somewhat. If you look back to the latest pictures I have posted, the Anna Sui and some of the Vena Cava could definately be work in the summer time. Especially the Anna Sui, because like you said, it is relaxed and airy. But I agree that the majority of the Chelsea Girl style itself would be very hard to wear in the summer time.

i really like usaveronica's definition of a chelsea girl. thats what i like to consider myself.
i think you can def pull this look off over summer. you can still wear the cute hat, the dress, shorts, skirts and tops and team it with the right accessories. cute flats will do a treat for summer. weren't we just saying a chelsea girl can adapt as the times change. well that means we can adapt to summer as well! sorry i didn't exactly give a example of what to wear, but you do a bit of layering with this look, you can still manage it in summer with less layers. its also all about the hair,make-up and accessories don't forget!

^ I Don't know where exactly but I am always keeping my eyes open when I go to thrift stores. You can often find the best things there.

i really understand the style. i actually became recently "intrigued" w/ this fashion cuz of a chanel collection; being very b/w. i finally found a style that mixes the 1960s fashion + b/w. I really dunno how to explain the b/w other than it standin for black/white...

hehe
