When I think of dance inspired fashion three collections come to mind. Obviously the first one is McQueens beyond brilliant s/s 04 collection. Another is Viktor and Rolf's s/s 03 collection where all of the models kind of danced across the runway in a very party kind of way.

And the third is Galliano's collection for Dior f/w 03 HC. It captured the look and feel of various dances so beautifully. The fire of flamenco, the passion and eroticism of tango, the softness and difficulty of ballet, it was all there....

Dior HC f/w 03

and the girls all looked the part, they looked as if they had danced for all they were worth, like they gave everything they had for the dance.

strawberry daiquiri, thanks for the link.very interesting indeed.i totally disagree agree with several opinions but that made it only more exciting .

anna carina,i love the pictures of the züricher ballet.i always like dancing- pictures that don´t seem static but capture the movement.i´ve never heard of "in den winden im nichts".do you know who choreographed it??

Sweetees makes quite a few dresses and skirts that look very dance-wear inspired. They aren't expensive, either.

Beautiful pictures everyone!
I just remembered John Galliano's spectacular dance-couture for Dior.

Here are some pictures, and the website, with a slideshow. http://www.style.com/fashionshows/co...R/review/CDIOR

I like the dancer inspired styles on the runway, lets just hope the public gets it right and doesnt do the whole Lara Flynn Boyle thing
