For me, this trend depends on the wearer. On some girls it just fits their style. ie. if they are a bit quirky, maybe a bit grungy.

There are too many people now trying to pull them off now and it looks ridiculous and unnatural on them *looking at a few bloggers who have been sporting them in recent weeks*
