fabric transformation
sorry mods, I have no clue where i should put this nor how it's really called. (feel free to post this where it belongs or change the name )

I have a "fabric" class in fashion design school, and our last project is "fabric transformation", to put it in simple terms (and the basic explanation our teacher gave us) you take a few pieces of material from a same group (let's say cotton) and you put them together to create a new unique one. (or "add value" to it in an other way, the previous "definition" was just our guideline for our project)

I thought this was interesting and wanted to see if any of you spotted them anywhere too :-)

I'm guessing "a lot" of haute couture houses use this since it's mostly handmade, etc.

here are some: rodarte (women management bloodspot) (the mix of materials), givenchy (fashion.telegraph.co.uk) (the recomposed crocodile leather), elie saab (grazia.fr) (the beaded designs all over)
