I think they are very stylish too, they were big last fall and will be next fall. I've actually got two (one mink and one chinchilla). I got my chinchilla one from Neimans in the sale for like 20% of the price (cost around $600).
Mine is very similar to this one on Anna Wintour (except mine is the velvet chinchilla, i.e. natural color)

Kelly Rowland sported a nice one (pic from Getty) which looks nice but you can't really tell from this pic and I can't find a larger one (typical! - lol)
I have a vintage one similar to the guy in the third picture in the first post. I wore it a few weeks ago and got many compliments. I felt a bit nervous wearing it though because of the politics around fur. I would never buy new fur but I feel ok about vintage- It didn't seem like that big of an issue when I was in Europe (Paris, London, etc.) there were many many people wearing fur coats, but here it seems a bit more controversial.
I really want a rough shearling fur scarf like this :

that sherling scarf looks gorgeous on that girl, although I could be biased by her dark-eyebrows+blonde hair combination that probably makes everything work in my eyes.
It's still freezing here, plus I always buy fall clothes in the spring/summer for some reason. I have a hard time dressing in the summer. I just bought a faux fur coat! haha
I like them too, usually they work well in colder weather but sometimes I use mine as an accessory in mild weather too.
I'd love a chinchilla one and a quick websearch has thrown up ths one which is $650. I haven't headr of the store but it seems a reasonable price for such a garment?
