'Gothic' Style
I really love 'gothic' clothing and accessories. An outfit I have lined up for school is a pink Abercrombie tutu-esque skirt (Shoot me, Abercrombie made something nice AND it was silk) paired with a skull pin. I like the contrast for me, but seeing others with the full style is pleasing to me. Not the tacky follow-along "goths", but those who really have style.

oh strawberry...how you do amuse...

my only problem with this look is that it is almost impossible to get this right...it takes a tremendous ammount of effort and money to really do this...

and all those poor kids who try to pull it off look so terribly terribly unfortunate to me...i applaud them for trying...but imo..if you really can't get there...best not to even attempt... i'd rather look more basic and good...than like i've failed miserably at something cool...

but if you can actually pull it off...great..!

I can actually be a bit of a loli myself when the mood strikes...
Personally, I love this community on livejournal! I think they have so many great ideas, and people with a variety of experiences and levels of bravery. I'm really only beginning to discover the style, but there are a ton of links, pictures and information. Have fun!

they can call it gothic if they like...but that is bondage and fetish wear...nothing gothic about a latex catsuit or a vinyl nurse's uniform...

yeah I know some of the sites may not have complete "goth-wear" or may have some generic looking items. The best outfits come from those who can mix and match with clothes from any store. But these are just a few more sites I still like. There are many different looks in the gothic style... the bondage/fetishwear can still be in there.

I love your links, purple.... softie is right, it's a very hard look to pull off. A girl at the fair the other night looked uberly-cool without trying. Not overtly goth or anything, with black pants, some heavy jewelry, a black belt and GORGEOUS black hair. She was holding two slushies and looked like she had a purpose.

^^ My point being that you don't have to go ALL the way or look tacky and cheap to have some of the style.

I think that look is awful...I would never wear anything with a skull on it.
