this has been done for quite awhile now, even last summer. It's not that fresh for me personally and when I see people wearing it....most of the time it just comes across as contrived.

i like this...especially on lou... i love hats and i think she looks fabulous in them.... 'hipster' or not, she looks great imo...

it looks more authentic on some than others... i think you just have to have a casual coolness to you and the rest of your outfit can't be too 'trendy' otherwise it does look contrived.... i think combined with wayfarers it can be a bit too much (like in some of those pics )...

i actually think that samantha ronson girl looks cool...it works on her...i like the androgyny...

I think the ones with the woman posed against the brick wall is from sallyjanevintage.blogspot.com. (She runs an eBay store as well, and I've noticed a lot of eBay store owners jump on the latest trends to style their vintage items and make them modern.)

Something about this look makes me think of a little kid playing dress up....or Debbie Gibson. It just makes me want to go up and adjust the hat for whomever is wearing it.

Seriously.

I think it depends on the the person. Are we only talking about on females? B/c if not my bf has been wearing these hats (not pushed back though) forever but he only wears them at night. I think it seems natural on him because he wears them all the time so it isn't contrived and it goes with the rest of the outfit. I don't think I'd be comfortable wearing a hat a whole day or night. Only a few minutes at a time for me, but I do think this is a cute look.
