You can buy Chanelesque suits with raw edges at Zara, so yes...

Perhaps it's a cheap alternative to maribou-trim...

I have always perferred this look over all others. When i go shopping i'm just drawn to pieces like these.

I looove the idea of a sophisticated, streamlined outfit - jazzed up with exposed seams, frayed hems, etc.

This GORGEOUS suit is a perfect example...

I like the fringed look, but the actual 'torn' and 'ragged' style just doesn't do it for me

Not a fan of the 'goth/shipwrecked' torn edges

I'm really not crazy about this trend. I feel like once it passes, you'd look ridiculous wearing it. and i mean MORE ridiculous than normally wearing past trends!

I love this! Two years ago I bought a J Lindeberg coat that is raw on all edges (slv, hem, lapel). It has a detachable fur collar that I love, but every time I wear it w/out I get sooo many compliments.
I do this a lot on the clothes that I make for myself. Especially on collars and hems. I think if done properly, it looks very nice, not tatty. I've experimented with this technique on knits and love the way they roll at the edges (like on the collar of a polo).

Speaking of--Softie, did you try the seam ripper on camo cargos yet? I love mine, but still haven't repaired the pockets.
