Traditional Japanese prints and kimonos inspired draping were ruling the runways for summer.

Such a refreshing trend.

It almost seems like this isn't a trend anymore. In the past it would pop up occasionally, now it's like a go to thing for at lease one designer each season.

I have to say though that I'm glad a lot of it this season is more vague....no one can really touch oragami or kimonos in a literal way for a while without drawing some comparison to Dior HC s/s 07, though I do love the short black kimono with pink beaded obi by McQueen.

Yes ,Japanese influence is a bit of a go to look,but I love it anyway.
