Life's a drag...
I've just done an art project on drag queens and love the extravagance of everything typical drag queens represent. So I thought I'd make a thread dedicated to Drag style and the influences that can be seen in catwalk fashion, make up looks used by designers similar to that of a drag queen's.

Post pictures of drag queens, drag-like fashion, all things 'simple fabulous and darling', drag make up etc...you know the drill

Unfortunately my computer is really slow...I won't be able to post as many images as I'd like...but I'll try my best to start it off...

I'll post some catwalk stuff too...just give me some time to find pics

Not really drag queen, but almost the reverse: more like mainline fashion shown on the opposite gender. (IOC, Benjamin Cho) Pics from style.com.
ETA: Another, from Gareth Pugh (same source:

I'd check out Jean Paul Gaultier on Firstview .

Gaultier did a collection with his male models as female icons , eg Marlene Dietrich etc ,

There you go .

Sorry , there's no Galliano Homme , although you might find something here :-

and for women's drag style , you cannot do better than this :-

oh that's great thanks kit! I've been trying to find thierry mugler collections for a while...I saw a video of one of his collections a while back...and all the acting involved in his catwalk was so 'drag', different from many of the walk up and down catwalks of now it really reflected the clothing....I'll check out the gaultier and galliano stuff too...thanks

It didn't work out as well as it could have due to other stuff taking up my time. the title for it initially was 'concealed and revealed' but then due to a change of circumstance I had to adapt it to 'viewpoints' title, which I did easily enough
