I'm in love

If i knew where to get it i would fly there right this minute. I want that dress!!!

I think you're right about this being part of the boho trend, by the way.
it's definetely part of the boho/bobo trend. it's just that it doesn't incorporate the leggings into it.

it's very much baby doll.

but lolita chic has been a coined term for a while. i don't know. good pick up on it though. i love the marc jacobs photos mimmy put up.

<3 me.

I am loving this thread so much!! I've always dressed a bit lolita I guess mainly because I look younger than I am so I've always played that aspect up. Besides I often find that dressing innocently lets you get away with some things and getting called cute a lot is always fun! haha but I love the clothes. They are just so cute and girly. It rocks.

Why is called Lolita? Does it have to do with one of my favorite books/movies Lolita, about the younger girl and the older guy?

i love this look..when it's done right, it's really quite ravishing.

i'm really small, and trying to rock this would make me seem even younger!

Love the prarie look

But carrying the teddy bear around is a bit along the lines of 'inner child problems' ...kinda creepy

I love this look! I especially love the yellow dress posted by Little Star! So cute I always think of playing dress up in poofy dresses and bows and such when I think of Lolita, but I'm loving the look

OH ohoh i love this thread! And the pictures you all posted are perfect!

I'm obsessed with the book Lolita by Vladimir Nabokov and the two
movies about it (the first one by Kubrick!!) since i'm 15 (..well, being
18 now )and i love the so-called Lolita-style unless it's done too obstrusively.

I practically always combine subtle Lo-ish accessories with my everyday style,
and i looove everything from playfully romantic dresses to boyish shorts.
I really hate the .. kind of, plastic-princess, little-girl Lolita look tho, that
comes of cheap so quickly.

I think Natalaia Vodianova looks like the modern epitome of the original Lolita from the book

Just my two cents worth:

Susan Eldridge

and Cintia Dicker

I think both of them can carry off the lolita look very well.
