"What's hot for 2007?

Another hard to wear trend this year is Nu-Rave. Which is a posh way of saying 90s throwback. Bright colours, hoodies, neon baseball caps and Nike Air Max's. You may sneer, but everyone will be wearing it come next Christmas."

LOVING... Nu-rave fashion
We've already slapped on our neon nail polish, made our own neon belts ŕ la Christopher Kane and embraced the Klaxons as our new favourite band. All we need are some glowsticks and a smiley-face tee and our look will be complete...

Hmm....

might "new rave" could be linked with this old electroklash trend? because imo, COS were more electroklash than new rave. Klaxons are New Rave (mixing early 90s acid house to rockish punk)
anyway what's the difference btw Electroklash and NuRave? did electroklash came across the ocean?!

I don't like it, a light tough of accessories in rave ish colour is alright, but i dont understand the green and yellow, they hurt my eyes
perhaps it's a trend not for anyone over 20

Some people are saying that it wont become an actual trend, but I really do think it will be. For example, what about the skinny jeans trend? It started back up a few years ago. The first time I saw them was when the 'scene' kids were wearing them in around 2004. Then a year on they have become a major trend. Same with leggings. Things start as just being a 'scene' trend but they grow to be something much bigger. I have already seen this look in H&M. This is just my take on it. I'm not saying I like the trend, and I could be wrong, but I think a lot more people could be wearing a watered down version of this look come 2007, and not just in clubs

i dont like it. judging by the street style pictures regarding the look it just seems like another thing the scene kids are taking and wearing "ironically"

but anyway, if we are talking about clashing bright colors and patterns, i would say that the new designer and Ungaro has been doing this

very true, but I was mainly thinking about the colours

I agree with you susanna on what you said about Sweden snapping this trend up.

i don't think the scene kids are wearing anything 'ironically', they're just wearing it 'cause it looks cool right now. because, hi, that's what scenesters do.

I have always had a little "raver" in my look, but those party outfits are kind of over the top...

^'Nu-rave' isn't really techno though.... in fact...it's nothing like techno!

I kind of like this, at least to some extent. Adding some neon accessories every once in a while never hurt anyone.
