Peter Pan Collars
Love it or hate it, Peter Pan collars were definitely prominent at the S/S 07 shows. This schoolgirl inspired accent adds an innocent and girly twist to the jackets, dresses, and airy blouses that popped up numerous times on the runway.

Chloe

Blumarine

Comme des Garcons

Giambattista Valli

3.1 Phillip Lim

To be honest, I'm not a fan of it at all. It can look okay on certain pieces, but it's generally too cutesy for my taste.

Marc Jacobs

Valentino

i love mod references but this is my least favorite of them, feminine is good, slightly lolita is ok, but this is too quirky for me, i like strong dramatic collars

Boring. This looks good, but doesn't get me excited.

I prefer traditional collars...

These are a bit more youthful and sweet, but not for long...

i agree that these kind of collars won't last long but i think they look quirky and fresh, im definately going to be embracing them for as long as they're around

I've always liked them, maybe because of the moddish vibe they send out I don't really care whether they're in or out, I'll naturally favor them till they start to bore me :p

The Giambattista Valli jackets are gorgeous.

In french this type of collar is called a "col claudine".

i like it one catwalk/editorial but i cant seriously see this worn in a club, a bar or a gig
its the 'dollhouse' trend theme as predicted from most trend forecast agencies, so its a bit 'orchestrated' hence and the appearance in so many collectioons.

like softgrey pointed out, the roots of this trend go back to the already discussed childhood trend thread, but its been made more 'mainstream' and hopefully salable..

but i cant see this 'flying' too high in europe or the US,
Japan & Asia will love this

Ive just bought a teeshirt material blouse thing with a collar like this .. they are better imo .. as they are further away from your neck, I hate things tight around my neck... it kind of has a 60's feel to me as well

I have not seen many tops like this about .. i think this is not going to be a very big trend which is a shame as i like it .. but i cant see it hitting the mass market

Ive been trying so hard to find the words to discribe the collar on phone to friend the other day .. peter pan .. you summed it up in one .. thanks
