I'm loving this trend. I think it has a lot to do with the "fear of the unknown." I agree with Spike that Raf for Jil Sander is achieving this trend in the least threatening way but Rick and Maison are almost shoving it in our face with no apologies. I admire that, since it took me such a long time to appreciate the pieces in Rick Owens this season

I can't see other people's signatures just so you know.

Interesting, but definitly not wearable. Can you imagine someone roaming the streets in some of these outfits?

Cool could purchase a few items then get cryogenically frozen for one hundred or so years and then wake up and VOILA! You'd be instantly fabulous.

Half kidding...or maybe I watch too much sci-fi. Also, I love the Rick Owens boots.

I love this trend, especially as done in Balenciaga and Lanvin

love this trend. i see it picking up momentum come the spring shows. the trend is all about the synthetic looking materials and sculptural shapes. futurism is so cool and refreshing!

This is one trend I can really love. I'm really fond of the way it was done at Balenciaga with those ankle boots.

Louis Vuitton is my favourite.

Costume National is a more wearable interpretation I think.

I really like the use of pleating by Sophia Kokosalaki , it looks like metal or molten lava.

But my ultimate favourite is this dress by Balenciaga.
