Interesting trend to see on the runway, but it's very trendy and will die out quite quickly IMO.

Chanel carried tall black boots with tan soles and heals last winter with the similar slouch effect...

This look has been around for quite sometimes actually...It's just now being shown on the runway in abundance.

Remember the Frye craze in '04-'05?

i think if youre confident with your legs then you wouldnt necessarily want to be showing them off continuously. i saw some scrunchy boots that comes above your knees and they look great.

I really love the creamy white ones but not heels (because they just arent practical for me). Does anyone know where I can get a pair of cream flat scrunchy boots?

I really hate this style of boot.
And to think, the cheaper chain stores shall be selling their plasteeq copies in abundance and i'll have to bear seeing them scuffed and walked over on until next winter.

there's scrunchy/slouchy...
and there's scrunchy/bunchy...

slouchy is usually suede (sometimes with fringe) and can look very sexy in a rock n roll/bohemian sort of way imo...

the 'bunchy' thing that balenciaga is showing just looks really 'victim-y' to me...
which is anything but cool imo...

*i guess one good thing is that if you have 'cankles' this can be a way to disguise them?!...

I like it. I particularly love the ones from Isabel Marant, but About a year ago I had the exact style but in pink, but don't be scared they don't look as bad as it reads. But because they were suede they got all stained, so i guess i won't be buying something similar.

But why do people consider this some faddish trend? I've been wearing this style of boots on and off since I can remember, they are nothing new.

I agree.

The scrunchy idea, whether boots or boots + legwarmers, has been around for a loooong time. Here's Stevie Nicks, circa 1981 with boots + legwarmers...
