this theme !! thank you Spike

i like also that it's practical
covering the face, back of head and neck is integral to the weather here
the biting cold winds ...
and sometimes with rain spray

Oo wonderful the Bruno Pieters ones they're almost like neck ruffs. There is definitely a protective element here like the trend for big hoods too. I like the almost barrier style at Margiela.

Emilio De La Morena had a few. Less stiff but still good inspiration !

I like the fitted , refined collar combined with the ruff.

Sigh...I am falling more in love with Rajesh Pratap Singh. I think the collar can shape the whole outfit. It certainly does give off the protective feel.

I hadn't seen the Sophia Kokosalaki...very cool and somewhat uncharacteristic of her.
Great trend, volume on the neck always looks good! I like it best at Jil Sander, the shapes and the way the fabric falls seems so organic and natural.

A big, upturned collar masking half the face, it's so James Dean! :p
Saw a great example of that James Dean look this morning while walking to work at 6.45am it put a smile on my face
