Shrugs (tie-arounds)
Shrugs seem to be really in where I live. It's the capital, so I suppose its a big deal and might spread to the rest of the country..

They look so much better ON someone. They can look really nice

eh i dont like them much, i keep seeing those everywhere though, in old navy they had like 50 different colors.

i do however love this

although its more of a blouse than shrug, but its cropped and you tie it

I like that... but not really. It's cute, but I guess it's the pattern that throws me off?

this trend definitely harks to the dancer-inspired styles, which we have a topic on...there are lots of pictures that help put all the shrugs and tie front sweaters into context: http://www.thefashionspot.com/forums...ad.php?t=22026

I have to say I like them... In a solid color they're nearly a basic and they're lovely when worn with regards to their dance-inspired origins

technically the tops that tie are called 'ballet tops'...
precisely because they are dance inspired...

a shrug is a lot smaller and barely covers the shoulders...
it's basically just sleeves attached from behind...

...

a ballet/wrap cardi, I can deal with, (actually, I love them) - but I agree with Kimkhuu - thumbs down to these particular 'tie-arounds'.

They are in in San Diego too. I was over the whole shrug thing then they came back with a passion. I think some of them are cute.
