maybe u can check some sports store for special made snow boots? i have the same problem with winter boots in the snow. my timberland is great for walking in the snow, warm and waterproof. but on ice it's a different story. it's so slippery. which makes me really dislike snow
there's one brand called "Olang". they are italian snow boots you can find in sportswear store. the great thing is it has a special antislip sole for icy surface and it looks fine, better than sorel boots, in my opinion. i'm thinking getting one myself.
