I don't HATE the trend, but I don't really like the mustache designs. You know... items adorned with those little mustaches on them. But at least, I'd rather see mustaches than skulls (which I still viciously dislike).

I really dislike this trend of wearing belts around the rib cage and/or essentially having a too highly waisted dress.

The waist doesn't sit at the natural waist, and it's not an empire waist, i.e., just under the bust. It's in this weird in-between spot, and then on top of that, girls wear belts there and emphasize it.

It's not flattering and it looks juvenile, ill-fitted and twee.

So I definitely have to agree with that! It just seems so lazy and like you're not trying at all; it's one thing if you're having a lazy day, it's another thing if you're actually trying to pass it off as chic.

I agree about the messy top-knots, I'm just sick of them (especially when they're paired with a chunky woolen scarf around neck).

And also peplum trend still seem to do quite well.

Face it, the '80s are never going away. Somehow, there is an amendment in the United States Constitution (or any other legal document) or in some holy script stating that there must always be an '80s revival or that '80s fandom must be maintained. I'll keep fighting the fight against '80s overkill (even for an '80s born person like myself), but you're not going to win against excessive '80s love.

Today, I saw my first Onesie on the streets and I don't think I'll ever be the same. I don't know if it counts as a trend because I haven't seen it everywhere yet, but I really really hope that it is never prolific.

^Yes, agree about the onesie trend! It's just SO horrible...

I am probably the only person on tFS who will defend the Ugg boots.

This is because, where I live, during the winter we have very low temperatures (sometimes -30C) and Uggs are the only boots which are warm enough to walk in. I know they are ugly, but to be honest I prefer not to freeze in pretty booties instead.

On the other side, I think that Moonboots or MOU boots are hideous.

I saw somebody wearing one in the supermarket yesterday and I didn't even care.

I am tired of seeing celebrities and wannabees wearing coats draped over their shoulders like a cape and not a proper coat.
