Velvet F/W 05.06
I love velvet for fall. I love that this trend works equally well for men & women! The fact that mens velvet suits for fw05 have such a slim cut breaks them away from the cheesy Sonny&Cher style velvet clothing of the 70s. It all looks really fresh to me and I particularly want a green crushed velvet jacket.

On the runway:
Bottega Veneta

Christian Dior

Marc Jacobs

Velvet is usually a favourite fabric for F/w, usually due to its sumptuousness and its suitability for the weather.

Besides clothes, there are also wonderful velvet shoes, accessories for Fall too!

I can't really tell the material, but I think Lanvin had some velvet pieces...

The velvet at the Burberry show is ....... The rest is a bit too tacky in my opinion......

I used to hate velvet, I still hate that fabric, but it can sometimes look great for blazers......

But hasn't this trend been going strong for a few seasons?!

I love velvet for accessories, but for clothes I tend to think it looks a bit "dated" - it just doesn't really ever seem modern to me.

But I did like the Lanvin looks above, and the way it was used to trim jersey:

Velvety is good...but you know what it should be more for party wear and low cuts. Its all about letting men feel that you are indeed SOFT AND SILKY all over
