Well, the obvious trend, BLACK is OUT
Prints, vibrancy and colour is in, perhaps to lift the mood somewhat. The collections are not looking as conservative as past showcases and i see very little dark tones to the garments, limited shades of grey, brown etc.. on the runway this season, no?

For the spring collections? Yes. But I will still wear it anyway.

I'm in the camp that says black is never REALLY out, but in response to your topic, some of the early NY collections actually used aLOT of black. And with a heavy hand at that so they didn't even look like spring.

I'm no expert, but, generally speaking, aren't spring collections usually devoid of black?

i really avoid black -mainly because everyone is wearing it at the moment and it IS the obvious choice- but... i think its still going strong ...at least in NY as curious just posted

it may not be as strong as last season...... but its quite impossible for black to be called OUT.... it may be a less stronger or stronger trend depending on the general mood of the season...... ...but it will ALWAYS be a staple......

Yep. And even if designers don't show a scrap of black on the runway, the stores carry it. People want black, so of course they're going to make and sell it.

I've been wearing a lot of black this season, but I believe it's about to change when spring comes

Black out?? what?? I've been buying more black than ever but I'm a guy so maybe it doesn't count?? But the big rocker look involves a lot of black and faded black skinny jeans...and thats not over yet... I think we'll see more black this winter in London... H&M have stocked up and so have a few other high street stores... just my 2 pence really!

Black will always be a classic and basic color. Personally, I really don't care about whats "in" or "out" though.
