Icon6 Wrist ribbons

I never thought this would be a "trend," and I'm still not really sure if it is, but I've seen a lot of people wearing ribbons as bracelets recently. I googled around and apparently in some places this has been around for a while.

for example dakota fanning (personally i prefer darker colors for it because this light color makes it look like a bandage )
source justjared.com

I think it's kind of cute and a good way to not waste a strand of ribbon Really easy way to make a bracelet!
What do you think?

Post some pics if you see anyone with this.

Not exactly ribbons (I think they're shoelaces) but still.

oh gosh - i use to do this all the time!

from ballet, i always had ribbons for hair, shoes everything, so i'd just wear a long ribbon on my wrist for convenience (and it looked pretty)

Pretty ribbon, yes. Shoelaces, no.

^Agree, but I guess shoelaces have their pros too. Ribbons tend to get wispy easily so shoelaces might last longer.

There's actually a trick to that wispy thing. Take clear polish and paint a couple layers at the end and they normally won't unravel anymore. Or if you're too lazy to wait for it to dry and paint so many layers, just take some fabric glue and apply a tiny bit to the end.

It can be cute I suppose, but the first picture's an example of how to make this trend look like medical gauze, from a distance. I'd stick with thin ribbon and such, or stay away from white...

I haven't been able to find street style photos of this, but I'm sure they exist. As for it looking like bandages, yeah, I think it looks prettier when tied into a bow or with darker ribbon.

I once tried to wear ribbons, but it was too long and always got in the way of what I was doing. My friend Eric was able to burn/fasten a shoelace on his wrist. It looks cool, but it is plain.

That's such a good idea! i often go into craft stores and fall in love with ribbon and all i can think to do with it is tie it around my pony tail or sew it onto clothes. What a great, simple way of wearing a cute ribbon!!

Hahah, I guess the ultimate accessory would be a wrist brace, in wich case we could all aspire to carpal tunnel by using our computers enough. Or just wear one for the look, but that's like cheating.
