It's funny though. When I see pics of Catherine when she was a girl, when Vadim discovered her, I think she looks very plain. But then he transformed her, revealing this beauty underneath it all.
But I agree with you La bordelique, she does look absolutely perfect with dark hair.

If you take away a little bit of Umph, she looked a LOT like Bardot in her eariler days...Scary, Vadim was bizzare (Like John Derek with Linda Evans and Bo..Strange to marry two girls who could be twins...!)

^Basically all of Vadim's wives could be sisters and he had a pattern of remodeling them and then loosing interest.
He was the kind of man who liked to play doll, if you see what I mean.
