She is so amazingly beautiful and stylish.
It's like they don't really make women like her anymore..
Reality is everywhere, and that doesn't give space to new legends.
Old stars have this funny glow that celebs today do not have.

Has anyone read the book she published? Her diary or something? Reviews?

I'm quite sure that the second pic in post #107 isn't Catherine but Francoise, her sister.
Don't you think so?

This is the book you mean "Up Close and Personal."
I can't find any reviews on it, but I do remember at the time of its release that people who had been expecting it to reveal more about the glacial icon, especially relating to the death of her sister (since she never seemed to mourn her) were disappointed. Sounded as if it was a bit more mundane, writing more about what she did on-set when filming.
I flicked through it once in a bookshop and there are hardly any pictures (most of them are the usual Catherine pics you see, nothing new apart from a few family ones when she was a kid).

Pic is from www.amazon.com

I've seen it too in a bookshop, and have always wondered what's it like. Thanks!

I love that film simply for the fact that there are so many fabulous french actresses camping it up. Such a joy!
I like the song Catherine has to sing (and Fanny Ardant's song! )

What word do you think would describe Deneuve? Just ONE word.

I would say 'devastating.'
In that her looks and her demeanour are so absolute, that they have that affect on people.
