I wonder if they are actually sharing that blue dress as the hemline/length seems shorter on her mother, and her mother is smaller than she is.

The speech was really awkward. Kate is trying too hard to be charismatic. I understand she has to be stately and all, but it was forced & the crowd was really buttering her up, just seemed a bit insincere. She doesn't have the same kind of public charisma that William and the other royals have. She should relax and be herself and the manner will follow naturally.

Her brother was coached on his speech at the wedding and there seems to have been the same amount of pauses. It was a bit awkward and she seemed nervous but she's not really been allowed to speak publicly and it's not the sort of thing that comes naturally to everyone. If she's still delivering them in the same way in a year's time, there will be more room for criticism.

I thought she seemed fairly at ease actually, it was just overly rehearsed. She was trying too hard to be emphatic & it seemed out of character for her. I just can't help but think that she's trying too hard to live up to the hype of her image with that speech.

the speech needed work. she needs to be instructed how to breathe, pause, gesticulate, slow/pick up her pace and lower or raise her voice.

she may have a learning disability which makes it more difficult to memorize text etc. - so it may be too soon to judge based on that speech. hopefully next time will be better!

her next public appearance might be on june 5th for a jubilee event. hopefully we'll get more candids between now and then.

I bet Daily Mail readers will go on and say that having her arms crossed like that is rude and she must be bored etc

I find her accent so interesting, especially since seeing the video of her sister at that Ski event she did in Sweden--Pippa sounded drastically different. I guess Catherine really did have lessons, but it seems to so odd--The Firm seems to want to sell her as being down-to-earth, so why strip away an accent that made her "one of the people"...unless she picked up the affect on her own.
